Shining Star Events | Wedding Coordinating

We have several packages available; as well as custom designed packages if you are interested.  Please see below for a list of packages and pricing.
 

 

Custom Speech Creation                                      
$30.00 per speech

 

Shining Star Events will meet with the client and learn stories he/she would like included in the speech, will determine the tone they would like the speech to have (funny, serious, etc), will create a rough draft speech for the client to review and will make changes necessary to complete the perfect speech.  Custom Speech Creation Services are to be used with other services provided.  However, if the event is being coordinated by Shining Star Events and one of the participants would like to use our speech creation services feel free to contact us.
 

 

One Month Planning
$550.00 flat fee

 

If a host/hostess has gotten to approximately one month until the event in planning and finds it too overwhelming (or “life” happened and are no longer able to continue), and would like some assistance in the final details and overseeing of the event, this package is for them.  Shining Star Events will pick up where they left off.  The following services are included in this package:
 

  • Referrals to vendors

  • Access to consultant for questions (via phone or e-mail)

  • Meet with the client to develop a timeline of the event

  • Confirmation of vendor commitments for the event day

  • Directions of rehearsal (if there is one)
     

  • Distribution of timeline to necessary vendors and key participants

  • Coordination and direction of event day (8 hours maximum)


 

Event Day Services
$400.00 flat fee

 

If a host/hostess has gotten to approximately one day until the event in planning and finds it too overwhelming (or “life” happened and are no longer able to continue), or knows that they will be too busy the day of the event to handle all the little details and would like some assistance in the final details and overseeing of the event, this package is for them.  Shining Star Events will pick up where they left off.  The following services are included in this package:

           

  • Access to consultant for questions (via phone, e-mail or in person)

  • Directions of rehearsal (if there is one)

  • Distribution of timeline to key participants (as prepared by the host/hostess)

  • Coordination and direction of event day (8 hours maximum)

     

    Please note: For “Event Day Services”, the host/hostess will take the responsibility of preparing a timeline, confirming details and commitments with vendors, and all other related duties.  Shining Star Events will carry out the duties based upon the host/hostess’s planning and preparation.  In these instances where Shining Star Events has no previous interaction with vendors, Shining Star Events is only as good as the information the host/hostess provides.
     

A Guiding Light
$30.00 per hour

 


 

For the host/hostess who wants to do all of the work themselves, but does not feel confident that they are going to be able to negotiate the best price, keep track of all the details, or just wants someone to talk to about the planning process, this package is for them.
 

 

This package starts at $90.00 (3 hour meeting), and will grow to meet your needs.  In the first meetings (of 3 hours), Shining Star Events and the client will cover the following:

  • Setting a budget

  • Deciding what types of vendors are needed and recommendations

  • Setting a Timeline of Events

  • Assisting with useful information resources

     

    This package does not include the following:  Meeting with vendors on the clients behalf, event day services, creation and mailing of invitations, tracking RSVPs, creation and set up of decorations, tear down and clean up of venue, or monitoring deposit refunds. 

     

    Time will be tracked in 15 minute increments.  Time tracked will include, but is not limited to, telephone consulting with client, face to face consulting with client, travel time to and from any appointments not within the city limits of Ionia or Rockford. 
     

Aries Package
$475.00 flat fee

 


 

For the host/hostess who wants to do most of the work themselves, but does not feel confident that they are going to be able to negotiate the best price, but still wants to be as involved as possible this package is for them.
 

 

All of the items listed above in “A Guiding Light” plus, the following:

  • Event Emergency Kit

  • Manage and resolve any seating arrangement mishaps

  • Assist with choosing or creating of invitations and mailing them

  • Assist in negotiation with vendors and signing contracts
     

Gemini Package
$600.00 flat fee

 


 

For the host/hostess who wants to do some of the work themselves, but does not feel confident that they can keep track of the details, but still wants to be as involved as possible this package is for them.
 

 

All of the items listed above in “Aries Package” plus, the following:

  • Arrange Transportation of key people to Event for the day

  • Set up of Decorations

  • On site management for maximum 8 hours day of event
     

Aquarius Package
$800-$1200 flat fee

 


 

For the host/hostess who wants to do some of the work themselves, but does not feel they have the time to do the running around that is involved in planning an event. 
 

 

All of the items listed above in “Gemini Package” plus, the following:

            Assist in guest list preparation
 

            Tracking RSVPs

  • Assist in selecting attire for Event

  • Collecting and returning all Rental Items

  • Assist with favors for key participants

  • Assist with overall design and theme

     


 

The Milky Way Package                                 
15% of Total Event Budget or $1200 which ever is greater

 

For the host/hostess who does not have time or desire to plan this event, this package is perfect.

  • This package includes:

  • All items listed above in “Aquarius Package”.
     

  • Weekly or biweekly updates (depends on type of event) of services provided

  • Minimum 4 face to face meetings with the host/hostess

  • Sending Thank you notes to vendors and key participants

  • Teardown and clean up of venue

     

    The host/hostess would be left with the following tasks to complete:

  • Signing of Contract with Vendors (that have already been negotiated by Shining Star Events)

  • Paying Vendors Directly or pre-paying Shining Star Events

  • Supplying list of guests to invite (with addresses as possible)

  • Attending meetings with Shining Star Events to ensure we are both on the same page.

  • Answering questions that may arise in the planning process.

  • Possibly a few other minimal tasks
